What is Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)?
MTA is a temporary housing solution funded by the NDIS for up to 90 days, designed to support participants who are transitioning to their long-term home but cannot move in immediately due to their disability supports not being ready.
Who is eligible for MTA at Eagle Quality Care?
You're eligible if you have a confirmed long-term housing solution, cannot move into it yet because disability supports aren't ready, and are unable to remain in your current accommodation while waiting.
What does MTA funding cover?
MTA funding covers the accommodation costs only. It does not include day-to-day expenses such as food, internet, utilities, or personal care supports.
How long can I stay in MTA?
The standard funding period is up to 90 days. In exceptional circumstances, extensions may be possible with NDIS approval.
Do I need to have a confirmed long-term home to access MTA?
If you're being discharged from hospital and are eligible for SDA, SIL, ILO, or Home Modifications, you can receive MTA funding without having a confirmed long-term home.
